The E Project announces the upcoming auditions for Miracle on 34th Street, adapted by Will Severin, Patricia Di Benedetto Snyder and John Vreeke from the novel by Valentine Davies. The production will be directed by Gregg Vigil.

Auditions are Sunday September 13th from 3-7pm, with auditions for children from 3-4pm, and adult auditions from 4-7pm, Callbacks will be Sunday, September 20th from 4-7pm, all at The E Project, 9797 W Colfax Ave in Lakewood.

Needed is a large ensemble cast of various ages and types, including several children. Actors are asked to come prepared with a contemporary one-minute monologue and be ready to read from the script.

Rehearsals will begin in October and performances are Friday and Saturdays, November 27th through December 19th, with possible additional performances on Thursday evenings or Sunday matinees in December. Scrooge/Clue
Combined Audition Notice

The Candlelight Dinner Playhouse will hold combined auditions for the two musicals Scrooge and Clue on Monday, September 21, 2009 at the theater. These productions will be directed/ choreographed by Scott Wright (Scrooge) and Brian Burron (Clue)., with musical direction by Troy Schuh.

Roles are available for Equity and Non-Equity Actors, Singers and Dancers. Auditions are by appointment only and can be made by calling the box office at (970) 744-3747.

The role of Scrooge has been cast.

Equity appointments are from 10:00AM to 11:30AM. Open audition appointments are from 12:00PM to 5:00PM.

Auditioners should prepare 16 bars of two contrasting songs in the musical theater genre. Bring Headshot/Resume and sheet music in the key you will be singing in. An accompanist will be provided. No taped accompaniment or a capella singing will be accepted. Equity members must have current ID card.

Scrooge opens on November 13, 2009 and runs through December 27, 2009. Rehearsals will begin in late October.

Clue opens December 31, 2009 and runs through March 7, 2010. Rehearsals will begin in mid December.

THEATRE COMPANY TO RISE FROM THE ASHES IN 2010!

Phoenix Theatre Company, the newly revised and revived project of Next Stage Founder Gene Kato will go into production in late 2010. The Board of Directors is excited and steadfast in their resolve to not only produce quality productions, but to compliment the already colorful landscape of Denver theater. Phoenix Theatre Company’s mission is to “engage audiences by introducing quality new works, reinventing classical theatre, and reviving unfamiliar and thought-provoking productions.”

Award-winning Artistic Director Gene Kato is thrilled to once again be a part of the Denver theatre community and vows to not only entertain audiences, but to continue to give the talented theatre artists of Colorado a place where they can challenge themselves both artistically and professionally.

About the show:
Billie Dawn is the mistress of Harry Brock, a Washington D.C. power broker who has come to town to bribe his way to the top. Harry hires magazine reporter Paul Verral to teach Billie the knowledge and manners needed to make a good impression on Washington’s elite. But when Paul and Billie fall in love, the play becomes a statement on feminism and the power one woman can hold.
